The Miller Family

We went on our annual fall Disney trip!  It was perfect- no lines, no sweltering tempsand happy kids…for the most part!!  We had breakfast with the characters and Ryan LOVED it!  Evanne was a little intimidated and as soon as they would walk away she would start asking for them-go figure!!  Kamryn slept through most of it, but did wake up in time to meet Mickey!!  

Hello Everyone!  We hope everyone is having a great start to Holiday Season 08′!! I have been a little lax in the posting department.  With that said, I am going to do a little “fall recap” of what we were up to!  Ryan visited a pumpkin patch with his pre-school class, and had a lot of fun!  He also had a Halloween party at school.  He dressed up as a fireman!  They had snacks, and projects…it was adorable!  We went to a Halloween party and our family dressed

up as “breakfast”!  Brian was bacon, I was an egg, Ryan and Evanne were toast with butter-and Kamryn was a loaf of wonder bread!  My very talented husband made all the costumes except Kamryn’s!!  We had a blast with all of our friends!

Miss Kamryn had cereal Saturday for the first time!!  Brian and I barely fed her because Ry and Ev thought it was the greatest thing ever to feed her!  She is like their living doll- they like to dress her up, and feed and change her.  Ryan asks if she can play outside with him!!  She is 4 1/2 months already!  She is rolling over and she has definitely discovered her voice!  So far she has more of the laid back, easy going demeanor like Ryan, but she is a girl- so I’m sure there’s some drama in there somewhere!!

Ryan had his first T-ball practice last week!  How adorable that was!!!  The coach told them to go out to the outfield and they just kept walking all the way to the fence!  Ryan likes it and has been sleeping like a rock after practices!  His first game is Sept 30th so stay tuned!!  He is also adjusting to Pre-school very well!  He always asks “is today a school day?”  They are working on the alphabet, rhyming, numbers and shapes.  They have also been learning about respect, honor, and courage!  He is such an easy going, happy, active kid who loves to be busy and on the go!!

Well my first Baby started school…(sigh).  That was harder than I thought, for ME!  I cried, but I made sure he never saw me!  He loves it.  He goes Mon, Wed, and Fri from 12:30-3p.  He only went one day last week due to good old “Faye”, the Tropical Storm that closed school the rest of the week!  He went again this Monday and G.G Marilyn went with us to drop him off!  He was so excited to show her his classroom,meet his friends and his teacher!  Evanne is also going through a bit of an adjustment without big brother for a couple of hours three times a week.  She will ask “bye-bye?”-and I tell her pretty soon we’ll go get him!  Then, when we pick Ryan up he will ask “What did sis do while I was at school?”  Yes- it has begun for us- the days of “is it our turn for snack”, school supplies, uniforms, folders to check, things to sign…and from everyting I hear- it doesn’t stop for about the next 20 years-then you look back and say-”did’nt he just start Pre-school?”  Well, here’s to hoping it goes by very slowly!! 

On Sunday August 17th Kamryn Rose was Baptised!  The day was beautiful; and extra special because my Grandma Marilyn (or G.G. as Ryan and Evanne call her) was here to celebrate with us from Ohio!  Kamryn was so good…no tears when Father poured the water on her head!  We had a small family get together at Mom and Dad’s afterward.  It was a very happy day for our family!

Sometimes I look at my kids and I’m really awestruck!!  When they are loud or act up out at a store or restaurant- Brian and I look at each other and say “who’s kids are these”-or “where did all these kids come from”-then we just laugh our heads off as Brian hums the circus theme…and we parade through with our double stroller, and enormous cart that you need a CDL to drive!    (Ryan now hums the Circus theme also!)  There isn’t one time we all go out and someone doesn’t say one of the following…”WOW your busy”, or “Woah- how close in age are the babies”, or my all time favorite “Are you going to have more?”  Yes it’s busy-what parent isn’t?  The babies are 15 months apart…yes, quick math, she was 6 mos. when we got pregnant…DUHHH!!  As for the last question I always give a polite “generic” answer such as “We’re not sure.”  The truth is I never thought in a million years Brian and I would be the ones in line at Target making a scene with our THREE kids!  We are enjoying the journey that kids inevitably take you on and loving the ride!!!  

This week Ryan went to Vacation Bible School!  It was his first “school” experience!  He had so much fun playing with his friends, seeing a real fire truck, learning new songs and prayers, and he made his acting debut in a skit!!  The teachers told me he volunteered and was thrilled to be picked…shy little thing…he he he!!  We ended the week by going to Mass and having a pizza party!  This was a little glimpse into our future in Pre-school!  I think it’s going to be way harder on me!!!

Hello Everyone!  This is my first post to our Family’s new web page I’ve created.  I have to thank Kelly, Kathy, and Jackie (aka) The Ruip girls for inspiring me to start this!  My goal is to at least do one “entry” a week to mainly stay in touch with family and friends we don’t get to see as often as we would like!
